Welcome to Mossy Valley Farm

Meet our Dexter bull and cows below

K&B VALLEY'S LOGAN 07/09/23 ADCA 054698 PHA & CHONDRO NEGATIVE

Neo - our dun ADCA herd sire

We call him Neo because he is "The One."  He is a beautiful polled dark chocolate dun bull.  Homozygous black with A2 beta casein.  All of his calves will be black or dun.  Still young at 2 years old, his first calves were born April 2025, and we expect 2 more in October of this year.  These two October calves will come from our dun cows and are both guaranteed be dun.

Neo will continue to grow and fill out in the coming years.  He shows great promise with his thick shoulders and neck, not to mention his perfect "bull" head.  He enjoys treats and is calm and quiet.  His 2 April calves are showing great promise - well-proportioned with pretty heads.  Neo is the full package.

Hazel - Dun Dexter heifer

Hazel

Hazel is a lovely medium dark dun Dexter cow and is bred to Neo for a September 2025 dun calf.  She is polled and A2 beta casein.   Check back with us in October if you are looking for a quality dun calf.

Olive

Olive is our light dun Dexter cows also bred to Neo for an October 2025 calf.  She is polled and A2 beta casein.  Bred to Neo, we are guaranteed she will produce only dun calves.  Her Dexter calves will be obligate A2 milk.

Mazie

Mazie is a rich chocolate brown dun.  She is homozygous polled and A2 beta casein.  We will breed her in Dec/Jan to coincide with Olive's and Hazel's due dates for a Fall 2026 calf.

GAF Sadie Mae 02/12/23 ADCA 053436 GAF Lady Lea 01/19/23 ADCA 053440 GAF Mirabelle 03/31/23 ADCA 053439

Sadie

Sadie is a beautiful black, polled, proven cow.  She is basically a pet - extremely easy to handle.  Easy keeper, middle of the road in herd pecking order.  She calves easily and her first calf is proving that she outbreeds even herself.  Expecting another stunning calf out of her in April 2026.

Lea

You can't ask for anything more than Lea.  Great udder, conformation, breeding, and attitude.  She does want to be top dog in the herd, but she will also let other calves nurse. Beauty and brains!  Expecting a calf in April 2026.

Mirabelle

Mirabelle with her 2025 heifer calf.  She is well bred and calves easily.  Loves treats and attention - she is a joy to have around.    We are expecting another calf from her in April 2026.
